HELLENIC COLLEGE AND HOLY CROSS DONATE FOR REBUILDING OF KOSOVO SEMINARY
Brookline, Massachusetts, United States, 16 July 2004

Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology raised over five thousand dollars to assist in the rebuilding of the Orthodox Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Kosovo.

The seminary was burnt down during the recent conflict in Kosovo. Being an institute of higher education and valuing the importance of theological training for the growth of the Church and the betterment of society, HC/HC felt obligated to assist their sister seminary.

The Rev. Protopresbyter Nicholas Triantafilou, President of HC/HC, announced during the first days of Holy Week that offerings collected during this week would be designated for this holy cause. Monies collected were sent to the IOCC (International Orthodox Christian Charities), which assisted in the coordination of this and other relief efforts.

The members of HC/HC continue to offer their prayers that the Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary will soon reopen and that peace will return to Kosovo.
