BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister of Health Leposava Milicevic received on Monday a delegation of the Greek-Serbian friendship society "Ancient Greece", headed by Society President Laios Constantinos, a government statement said.

The two sides agreed that the traditionally good and friendly relations between the Greek and Serbian peoples were a good basis for developing all forms of cooperation.

The Society has forged cultural ties between the two countries, and the meeting with the health minister produced several useful initiatives for promoting cooperation in other fields, such as humanitarian drives, health protection and medical supplies.

The delegation stressed that the war against Yugoslavia did not end with the end of NATO's March 24-June 10 air strikes, and that Serbian people still need understanding and help from the others in the Balkans.

The delegation launched an initiative for a number of Serbian children to visit Greece, the statement said.
