ATHENS -- A commemoration for victims of the NATO aggression on Yugoslavia was held at the church of St. Constantine and Helen in Salonika on Sunday morning.
Prayers for all those killed in Yugoslavia in NATO air strikes last spring were attended by more than 2,000 citizens of Salonika, including Yugoslavs who live in this town, representatives of local authorities, public and political figures, as well as Yugoslav Consul in Salonika Borko Dujakovic and his associates.
The commemoration, one in a series of events with which Salonika is marking the anniversary of the onset of the NATO aggression on Yugoslavia, was organized by the Yugoslav diaspora and the Society of Greek-Serb Friendship St. Sava of Salonika, and with great support and help from the Salonika bishopric of Neapoli-Stavropoli.
