BELGRADE - Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica received on Monday in Federation Palace Greek Orthodox Patriarch Christodolos and Serbian Orthodox Patriarch Pavle with aides, the cabinet of the Yugoslav president said. In the talks was expressed great pleasure because our historical friendship is always confirmed anew, especially in the trials our two peoples are passing through.

Serbian Orthodox Patriarch Pavle late on Sunday confered the medal of St Sava of the 1st order on Primate of Greece, Archbishop Christodoulos, for all his activities and assistance to the Serbian Orthodox Church. "The Greek Church has always sympathised with the troubles we have been in, rendering us support as well as aid in medicines and food," Patriarch Pavle said at the ceremony.
